Dr. Aidan Phan, D.D.S., M.D., grew up in a suburb north of Chicago, Illinois, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Premedical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. After graduating from dental school with high honors at Indiana University School of Dentistry, he went on to complete an M.D. degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and a general surgery internship at the University of Texas Medical Center at Dallas, followed by an oral & maxillofacial surgery residency. Dr. Phan trained at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, Veterans Affairs Medical Center and other hospitals in the DFW Metroplex. He specializes in oral & maxillofacial surgery, but his experience included extensive training in anesthesia, reconstructive surgery of facial deformity and trauma injuries, and minimally invasive cosmetic enhancements.
He views his specialty as a bridge between the medical and dental field. Many procedures that he performs, such as corrective jaw surgery and dental implants, satisfy both the functional and cosmetic needs of the patient. Dr. Phan also holds certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and has general anesthesia,intravenous (IV) sedation and oral sedation permits.
