Talk about not judging a book by its cover. Passport’s humble exterior (it used to be a drive-thru bank) belies a watering hole that looks like it’s stuck in the ’70s—a ’70s airport lounge, to be exact. The dimly lit room isn’t too dark to hide the bright orange couches and tables lining the wall and both sides of a large white screen. The bar is minimalist but casually cool. A map of the world, made of little orange lights (think Lite Brite), is positioned behind the DJ.
