Aveda Institute

“OMG” was our first response to the interior of this Park Lane beauty school. This is no makeshift massage parlor. The two-story state-of-the-art facility is as beautiful as any spa we’ve seen. Hair stations sit on the first floor past the retail section, and a mani/pedi room provides separate bowls for pedicures so that sanitation isn’t a question. The spa upstairs boasts walls with waterfalls, wood and stone accents, cushy massage beds, and music. But be careful. Don’t forget you’re a student’s guinea pig. We’ve had spot-on manicures and not so spot-on pedicures that looked like they were performed blindfolded.
