Longhorn Ballroom

The legendary Longhorn Ballroom is a former country and western dance hall that is currently only used for private events, but it has a colorful history, thanks to two dramatic events. In 1978, the Sex Pistols played a show at the Longhorn just days before the band broke up; lead singer Sid Vicious was head-butted by a woman in the crowd after the band began taunting the audience. In 1992, the rap group 2 Live Crew refused to take the stage, resulting in fighting between fans and police.
