Inwood Estates and Vineyard

Category:

Profile

You wouldn’t automatically think of Dallas and think vineyards, but Dan Gatlin changed that back in 2005 when he released the first vintage of the Inwood Palomino/Chardonnay blend. Not only was the wine good; part of it was grown right here in Dallas off Inwood Road. He has since expanded his production to include a Tempranillo/Cabernet Sauvignon blend; a Tempranillo, made in the modern style; and, most recently, a Bordeaux blend with a touch of Tempranillo. While he has largely moved the production to the Vineyards at Florence in the Hill Country, the tasting room in Dallas is still in use and available for tours and tastings on Saturdays.
