Camp Wisdom, home of the Harbin Scout Museum, was established in 1923 and is the oldest existing Boy Scouts of America camp in the state. Although the museum is much newer, it pays homage to the long history of Camp Wisdom and its founder, John Shelby Wisdom, as well as the Circle Ten Council, the main Scout council in North Texas.
On display at the Harbin Scout Museum are a number of Scout-related items, from patches and uniforms to knives, axes, cameras, and canteens. The museum has also hosted temporary exhibits of totem poles, histories of historic figures, and more. The museum is open only on Saturdays from 8 am to 1 pm, but interested parties can set up special visits with the camp ranger.
