Located in Eagle Mountain Lake, just northwest of Fort Worth, Cliff House Studio and Gallery is the product of husband-and-wife team Raymond Rains and Pamela Summers, two Texans with a passion for art. The gallery, which also serves as the couple’s home and studio, houses Summers’ ceramics, from decorative Raku and bowls to tiles, tables, and mosaics. Summers is also a photographer, capturing images of everything from urban cityscapes to white sand beaches. Rains, meanwhile, deals primarily in glass art. Colorful blown glass contorts into unique shapes and often works well as decorative vases, while fused glass pieces combine glass with welded steel or copper. Classes and workshops in pottery throwing and Raku firing can be arranged for groups, and the gallery is also available for tours and events.
