Visual Arts Coalition of Dallas

Though the Visual Arts Coalition of Dallas doesn’t create its own works of art, it’s more than just an interested arts patron. Essentially VACD serves as a middleman by providing exhibition space and raising awareness about its membership of local arts groups. The organization gladly allows groups with four or more participating artists to use its gallery space to put on shows and exhibitions. VACD does its best to match smaller groups with individual artists for collaborative exhibits. Aspiring members of the organization must be located in North Texas and pay a small application fee. Because of the high demand for its facilities, the VACD gallery is never empty. Exhibits typically run for one or two months, displaying 30 to 40 pieces of art of all styles and compositions. Past show organizers have included the Visual Arts Society of Texas, the Southwest Watercolor Society, and the Indigenous Institute of the Americas.
