When Fort Worth lost its summer Shakespeare festival a few years ago, it seemed as if the Bard would be placed on the backburner for a while. But it didn’t take long for him to make his return, as 2009 marked the first year of the new Trinity Shakespeare Festival. Unlike most summer Shakespeare events, TSF isn’t performed under a hot Texas sun, but rather inside the comfort of a pair of theaters on the TCU campus. The festival consists of two of Shakespeare’s plays that run concurrently through most of the month of June. The festival’s inaugural schedule included productions of Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night, but TSF has only begun to scratch the surface of Shakespeare’s expansive repertoire.
