Formerly known as the Latin Arts Association of Fort Worth, Artes de la Rosa brings art and culture of the Latino community to the forefront of the Fort Worth art scene. Artes de la Rosa operates out of the Rose Marine Theater, which started showing Spanish-language films to audiences on the city’s Northside in the 1920s. The theater is still used for film screenings, but it also provides a plethora of other art forms, from music to dance and much more. Teatro de la Rosa is Fort Worth’s only Hispanic theater company and makes frequent appearances on the ledger, while Galeria de la Rosa is an art gallery that exhibits works by Latino artists. Artes de la Rosa also has an active outreach program, performing short children’s plays and organizing after-school theater classes for kids ages 8 to 18.
