Ananth Vellimana, MD, FACS, FAANS, has experience and expertise in the full spectrum of cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, including the treatment of complex aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, moyamoya disease, carotid stenosis and ischemic stroke. His practice also encompasses skull base tumor surgery, where he manages benign and malignant lesions, such as meningiomas, pituitary tumors, vestibular schwannomas and chordomas, using both open microsurgical and minimally invasive endoscopic approaches. In addition, he provides comprehensive care for general neurosurgical conditions of the brain and spine, including intrinsic brain tumors, trauma, degenerative spine disease and hydrocephalus. His combined skill set allows him to deliver highly specialized care across a wide range of neurosurgical disorders with a focus on individualized, evidence-based treatment. Dr. Vellimana’s personal interests include travel and recreational aviation.
