Dr. Christopher (Chris) Abel is Chief Operating Officer and a preventive medicine physician at Cooper Clinic. For five years, he also served as Medical Director of our Cooper Clinic Platinum direct medicine practice. Dr. Abel received a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and his Medical Degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Abel is an Eagle Scout and has been presented with the Preston Hollow People and Park Cities People “People’s Choice” Award in multiple years.
