These popular swim schools, scattered around North Texas and in Austin, offer a comprehensive program that is heavy on positivity (besides smiles and high-fi ves, little swimmers are rewarded with M&Ms). Eighteen levels of instruction cover everything from foundational survival skills, such as swimming with clothing, to advanced techniques like starts and turns. Parents can take a free class on bath time for new babies, and start them in the pool at 6 months old. Eleven classes are $225 plus a $25 registration fee. Multiple locations.
