With limited production, there is no time to procrastinate before purchasing Fuqua wines. If you taste it and like, then buy it. Don't wait. Chances are, the next time you visit the tasting room, your favorite will be sold out. The coveted 2006 Tempranillo sold out quickly, even after raising the price from $28 a bottle to $35. Thankfully, there are new releases on the horizon, including the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2007 Chardonnay. If you're not a fan of oaked Chardonnay, Fuqua also offers a bright unoaked Chardonnay, as well as Sauvignon Blanc. While owner and winemaker Lee Fuqua uses Texas grapes, not all of his wine is made with Texas-grown grapes. He selects batches from Carneros, Napa, Sonoma, and a few other California regions. Whether the wine is made with Texas grapes or California (or often a blend of both), you can be sure that it will be delightful and worth every penny.
