Located on the SMU campus, the Georgian-style architecture of Perkins Chapel is inspired by churches built in New England in the 18th and 19th centuries. Weddings for SMU students, alums, and locals have been happening here since 1951. The chapel was refurbished in 1999, and these days, more than 200 weddings take place here every year. Couples of all faiths admire the great beauty of Perkins Chapel as well as its proximity to many of the best local reception sites.
