This terribly chic department store is independently owned by the Brock family, but there is nothing underground about the caliber of designer lines that make Stanley Korshak one of the top shops in the country. The set-up in Crescent Court is a little unexpected; the store is centered around a courtyard and fountain, so parts of it can only be accessed if you walk outside the main building. Downstairs is dedicated to menswear, women’s shoes—hello, quadruple-digit Louboutins—jewelry and beauty. Walk the winding staircase upstairs (or take the elevator) and meander through a world of designs by Ruffian, Balenciaga, and Behnaz Sarafpour—all lines that come down the runways in New York and Paris.
