After 35 years on Knox Street and witnessing seedy bars give way to Pottery Barns, the neighborhood pioneers behind Iota were ready for a change of scenery. Daniel Dean and Mickey Miller’s collection of contemporary art, gift cards, and handmade jewelry from California and beyond found a new, larger home in Oak Cliff’s mixed-use development Sylvan Thirty. “The store has an entirely different feel, but the product is still the same,” says co-owner Daniel Dean. “We’re still just like a museum store without the museum.”
