This boutique is single-handedly responsible for the burgeoning Knox-Henderson area that connects East Dallas to Highland Park and Highland Park to Uptown. Before Apple took over the corner of McKinney and Knox, and before Mecox offered $2,000 lamps, there was Forty Five Ten, a high-end label lover’s paradise, with everything from Rick Owens diaphanous designs to Alexander McQueen teetering stilettos. Owners Brian Bolke and Shelley Musselman, a former model, keep a tightly curated selection of clothing, accessories, and home wares on hand. If the big-ticket prices are too off-the-charts for you—and they sometimes can be—you can still be a part of the club by having lunch at The T Room, which is hands-down the most chic watering hole in the city. This little café buzzes daily with Birkin bag-carrying women and their polished friends.
