When you first walk in, you might think it’s a San Francisco-esque hippie shop—the patchouli wafting and the Nag Champa incense and hookah pipes on display are indications—but you’d be wrong. Walk in a bit more, and you’ll see that you’re really in another time and place. It’s a bit overwhelming, but that’s part of the fun. The motto here is “Shop the world without jet lag,” and the eclectic mix has made a believer out of us. Most of the goods here come from Turkey, Afghanistan, and Uzbekistan. Find hand-painted ceramics, tiered Moroccan lantern lighting fixtures, and Suzanis (tribal fabrics) galore. We like the jewelry best. Make a statement with vintage Afghan necklaces, amethyst rock cocktail rings, and animal baubles.
Update: The Henderson location closes December 31.
