We are flabbergasted by the hordes of well-heeled patrons packed into the dining room and bar at Cameron Mitchell’s modern supper club in Uptown’s Rosewood Court Building. The food isn’t bad. But, like the wine list, it is unimaginative. Among the highlights: a thick slab of Scottish salmon and 10-layer carrot cake. Waiters always tout what’s popular in lieu of offering a solid recommendation, and drinks can be gimmicky, like the cosmos served with dry ice, which bubble like a witch’s cauldron.
