Food Company’s Cheddar Cheese Wafers

Ingredients
1 stick butter
½ pound cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
Cayenne pepper to taste

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine butter and cheese, and cream until smooth. Combine flour, salt, and pepper. Gradually add to butter and cheese. Dough will be very stiff. Form into roll about 1½ inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight. Slice about ¼-inch thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet until lightly browned, about 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
