Family law problems involve life-altering decisions that often must be made while under extreme stress. Curtis takes the time to understand each client’s circumstances, and then maps out the available options at each decision point in the case. As a partner working in the Plano office of Goranson Bain, Curtis serves a range of professional clients who live in Collin County, along with Dallas and Denton counties. With 20 years of litigation experience, Curtis is very comfortable in the courtroom. Yet he also recognizes that most people would rather avoid the courtroom and try to resolve their conflict themselves with help.
Curtis is a graduate of Baylor University School of Law, and is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has been selected to "Texas Super Lawyers" by Thomson Reuters each year since 2008. He has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America in the field of Collaborative Law: Family Law 2017-2019, in the field of Family Law 2019, and in the field of Family Law Mediation 2019 by Woodward and White Press. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Collin County Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association. In addition, Curtis serves on the Board of Directors for the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas.
