Dan joined Lee Financial in 2022 as a Senior Financial Planner, but his nearly three decades of experience in financial planning portend good things for his clients. Central to his approach is a genuine concern for their well-being and a passion for helping them achieve their financial objectives through informed decision-making and thoughtful techniques. Dan’s methodology employs the tenets of a holistic process built on the fundamentals of sound stewardship principles.Following degrees in Agricultural Economics and Family Financial Planning from Texas Tech University, Dan earned the Certified Financial Planner
certification in 2000. His career has included stints at several boutique financial planning firms interspersed with seven years at the international accounting firms of Arthur Andersen and KPMG. Dan has enjoyed strong ties with his alma mater over the years, founding the Alumni Advisory Board in 2011 at what is now Texas Tech’s School of Financial Planning. Dan has also served in multiple leadership roles within the Financial Planning Association’s DFW Chapter, most notably founding their Scholarship Program in 2003 and serving as the chapter’s President in 2013. Dan has been a member of the Journal of Financial Planning Editorial Review Board since 2021.Originally from Houston, Dan moved to the Dallas area in 1997 and has lived in Richardson for over 20 years. Personal pursuits include many weekends at his family’s cattle ranch near Madisonville, Texas, exploring American history in the Old Dominion State, perusing antiques, and a burgeoning interest in woodworking.
