John Meiser, M.D.

Walls adorned with the beautiful scenery of Texas reflect the atmosphere of professionalism and friendliness of Dr. John Meiser and his staff at the Allergy and Asthma Center of Texas. A sincere dedication to thorough and compassionate patient care drives Dr. Meiser to excellence in his examination, evaluation, and treatment utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technology. Dr. Meiser has been in private practice, specializing in allergy and immunology, in the North Dallas area since 2001. At his Frisco facility, he offers comprehensive treatment for allergy, asthma, eczema, and chronic infection to children and adults.

Dr. Meiser grew up in Austin and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas Houston Medical School and completed a four-year combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at the same institution. He subsequently attended National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, Colorado, where he completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology. Prior to establishing his practice, he obtained Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Meiser currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Texas chapter. He is a member of the editorial boards of both Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Pediatric Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and a member of the Texas Medical Association.

In addition to being a multi-year recipient of the D Magazine Best Doctors in Dallas Award, Dr. Meiser is a lecturer and author whose articles have been published in professional journals. He is a clinical assistant professor at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a staff member at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Baylor Medical Center of Frisco.

A resident of Plano with his wife and three young children, Dr. Meiser enjoys family activities, photography, fishing, and travel. He and his family attend Trinity Fellowship Church in Richardson.
