Dr. Garner Newton is the chairman of the orthopaedic department of Texas Health Presbyterian of Dallas. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and has the distinction of being subspecialty board certified in sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been in private practice in Dallas for 10 years. Dr. Newton serves as chairman of the orthopaedic advisory committee and is a member of the medical board of Texas Health Presbyterian of Dallas. He also serves on the Texas Health Resources Institutional Review Board.
Dr. Newton is committed to personalized patient care. He specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries and subspecializes in shoulder and knee surgery. He currently serves as the orthopaedic surgeon for the Southern Methodist University Health Center, is the team physician for the Episcopal School of Dallas, and is the former team physician for the Dallas Burn soccer team (MLS).
