Dr. Steven Mottl, D.O. is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease. He has extensive training in diagnostic imaging and holds additional certifications from the National Board of Echocardiography, the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. His professional interests also include cardiovascular fitness and nutrition, preventive and alternative therapies, the role of inflammation in heart disease, and cardiac CT angiography.
Dr. Mottl received his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Il and he completed his residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University, McGaw Medical Center in Evanston, Il. He then went on for his cardiology fellowship training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson. During his last year of training, Dr. Mottl served as the chief cardiology fellow.
