As an experienced artist and wood and marble sculptor, breast and body contouring surgery come naturally for board-certified plastic surgeon, Ron Friedman, M.D. In private practice in Flower Mound and Plano since 1996, Dr. Friedman served on the full-time plastic surgery faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he was the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Friedman specializes in mommy makeovers, breast augmentation, breast reduction, and breast lift, mini and full tummy tuck, liposuction, facelift, eyelid lift, lip enhancement, nasal surgery, ear surgery, nipple procedures, labiaplasty, arm lift, and botox, dysport, restylane, and juvederm injections. He personally performs every part of every surgical and non-surgical procedure.
The average plastic surgeon performs about 30 to 40 breast augmentations annually. Dr. Friedman averages 120 per year with rates of infection, bleeding, and reoperation that are far lower than national averages.
He has been named by his peers in D Magazine as a Best Doctor in Dallas, and Texas Monthly named him a Texas Super Doctor for four consecutive years. ABC News has relied on his expertise for stories on breast and body contouring. He has published widely in the leading plastic surgery journals, has been featured on multiple television and radio broadcasts, and has lectured nationally and internationally on more than 30 occasions.
Dr. Friedman is the recipient of honors and awards from the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic surgery. He has also acted as an instructional lecturer on behalf of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, teaching surgical techniques to other plastic surgeons throughout the United States.
Dr. Friedman's wood and marble sculptures have been displayed in several galleries and are part of many private collections. He has also been a pianist and songwriter for more than 30 years. All proceeds from his sale of his Illusions CD ($10,000 so far) benefit the Smile Train, an international organization providing cleft lip/palate repair to children in 60 countries.
Dr. Friedman serves as the director of the West Plano Plastic Surgery Center, a nationally-accredited surgery center conveniently located on the campus of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. His Plano office is convenient to Frisco, Allen, McKinney, and Richardson. His Flower Mound office is convenient to Irving, Los Colinas, Grapevine, and Southlake.
