From the Doctor (Sponsored)

Dr. Ronald Friedman is a leading board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in breast surgery, body contouring and facial rejuvenation. In private practice in Plano and Flower Mound since 1996, he is the former Chief of Plastic Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Friedman currently serves as the Director of the West Plano Plastic Surgery Center on the campus of Presbyterian Hospital of Plano.

Dr. Friedman performs over 130 breast augmentations annually-over three times the national average. He uses 3cm (1.25inch) incisions to place saline implants (larger for silicone gel), places sterila implant "sizers" to preview your size prior to selecting the implants, and heat seals all tissues with cautery to minimize bleeding. This eliminates the need for suture removal (all stitches are internal), drainage tubes, ACE wraps, and compression bras. Dr. Friedman's reoperation rates for postoperative infection, bleeding, capsular contracture (implant hardening) are far lower than published national averages.

Although cosmetic surgeons often claim that they can "sculpt" your breasts, thighs, or nose, most have no real experience in art or sculpture. In contrast, Dr. Friedman has been sculpting wood and marble lfor over 25 years. Many of these pieces have been displayed in galleries or sold by comission. Dr. Friedman is photographed in front of a windsurfer that he carved.

"I sincerely believe that my strong foundation in art and sculpture has made me a better plastic surgeon."

Dr. Friedman graduated with Honors from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he subsequently served on the plastic surgery faculty. He has aurthored numerous journal articles and textbooks chapter, has been featured on multiple television and radio broadcasts, and has lectured on a national level. Dr. Friedman is also the recipient of awards from the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Socieity for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Most important, Dr. Friedman performs every consultation, takes every photo, and places every stitch himself. Ande he is never in a hurry. He states, " I look at it this way: it's a couple of hours out of my life-but it's the rest or yours."
