Dr. Melissa Rozas DDS began her obsession with oral health at an early age. When she was 3, she had three upper primary teeth extracted as a result of having baby bottle tooth decay. She later went through three sets of braces as a teen. “What stands out the most from all of this is that I had great experiences with my dentists,” she says. “It was the start of a lifelong desire to take care of my teeth, and I want to instill that in my patients as well. I love educating families about preventing dental disease and helping them achieve beautiful, healthy smiles.” Dr. Rozas grew up on Galveston Island where she received her pre-college education and work experience managing one of her family’s seafood restaurants. This is where she developed a strong work ethic and a passion for customer service, which is evident in her dental practice today. Her bright, welcoming office and friendly staff make a visit to the dentist a fun and positive experience for her patients.

Dr. Rozas makes sure to visit with parents prior to and after all treatments and is available for several consultations when needed. Dr. Rozas says. “Excellence in service is our goal,” Dr. Rozas says. “Our parents appreciate the time we take to educate them about their child’s dental health, which also includes sleep, feeding and speech”.  Following dental school, Dr. Rozas completed a two- year residency at the University of Texas in Houston and Hermann Hospital where she received her certificate in pediatric dentistry. This rigorous training in a clinical and hospital setting helped her acquire those skills and knowledge necessary to meet the needs of children. Dr. Rozas is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, past director of District V of the College of Diplomats of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and past president of the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Most recently she became an Ambassador of the Breathe Institute. She is serving her 14th year as chairman for the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society.

Dr. Rozas resides in Coppell with her husband Tim and their two children, Bryce and Lauren. Outside of her busy pediatric dental practice, Dr. Rozas enjoys exercising, skiing, and traveling. Contact us today to find out more about this amazing practice!
