Webb Gallery

Profile

Housed in a 10,000-square-foot cast-iron building 30 miles south of Dallas, the Webb Gallery is a veritable treasure trove of the strange and strangely sweet. Think fraternal lodge artifacts, carnival banners, tramp art, memory jugs, anonymous folk works. In short, just about any variety of so-called outsider art you can imagine. Founders Bruce and Julie Webb, self-confessed obsessive collectors, got started in 1987, gathering, showing, and selling the art they liked. To this day, their collection continues to reflect their particular, sometimes peculiar, tastes. Keeping with its characteristic eclecticism, the gallery also hosts film screenings, social events, and musical acts from time to time.
