Before Trammell Crow became a real estate mogul, he was building and leasing warehouses, factories, and office buildings. But by 1957, Crow had his hands on the first project that would cement his legacy—Dallas Market Center. Today, the DMC consists of four buildings, three of which are meant for wholesale buyers and closed to the public: the 15-story World Trade Center, the Trade Mart, and the International Floral and Gift Center.
But Dallas Market Hall, a massive exhibit space off Stemmons Freeway, hosts dozens of events every year, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to the DMC campus. Unveiled in 1960, today Market Hall has four major display rooms that occupy 202,000 square feet. Events held here annually include the annual Dallas International Guitar Festival, as well as festivals, auctions, and antique, dog, gun and knife, car, boat, and bridal shows.
