Dallas Hub Theater

Profile

Opened in 2005, the Dallas Hub Theater is an independently owned, non-profit venue designed to cultivate the talent of local actors and writers, and serve as a haven for small theater companies that lack a home stage. DHT’s resident company, Shane-Arts, keeps busy by staging a wide range of productions, from modern takes on classics from Othello to a collection of three Rich Orloff comedies simply called Ha!

DHT also offers modern dance lessons, occasional late night shows, and a weekend dinner theater series (by reservation) that features a three-course meal prepared by a guest chef. Audience members dine while taking in a murder mystery presented by the Comedy Killers, complete with audience interaction and a different ending to every show. Since 2006, the theater has hosted the annual DFW Fringe Festival, which brings theater groups on the fringe of the mainstream arts scene to the attention of new audiences.
