Cockroach Hall of Fame Museum

Profile

Plano’s strangest (and potentially grossest) museum is housed inside a pest control shop, The Pest Store, where you can buy products to eradicate the very same buggers you’ve come to see. Former owner Michael Bohden, an exterminator with an apparent affection for both roaches and puns, claims that roaches are actually pretty clean. We’ll take his word for it, since they give us the creepy-crawlies. On view are famous, very dead specimens like Liberoachi, H. Roach Perot (standing on a pile of cash, of course), and Marilyn Monroach. Live bugs on display include the three or four inch long Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. For those with stomachs of steel, Bohden serves up “worm snacks” in a variety of flavors.
