Accent Gallery and Framing

Profile

Fans of Accent Gallery & Framing might wonder what happened to the little shop that used to sit next to Hotel Zaza. Well, here’s your answer: Accent owner Morteza Abdollahi reopened his gallery with a new address and a new name. Today, Morteza’s Design and Custom Framing does business just up the road, still offering the framing services and original artwork it did in its former space. Paintings here often feature famous subjects, from Kareem Abdul Jabbar to Margaret Thatcher, in something resembling a pop art style. Pen and ink drawings often border on surreal, depicting people with birdcages and chandeliers for heads. Morteza’s also has a vast selection of frames, and whether they go around a piece of art you buy from the gallery or one you bring in from elsewhere, Morteza’s usually gets the job done in three to five days.
