Profile

Pegasus Theatre presented new and original plays for 17 consecutive seasons starting in 1985, but when the opportunity to produce an off-Broadway show in New York City arose in 2002, it was too good to pass up. After a two-year hiatus, Pegasus Theatre returned in 2005 with a show performed in Living Black & White, the trademarked and unmistakable style the theater has adopted. Through a painstaking process of careful makeup, lighting, and set design, Pegasus presents original plays on stage that look like an old black-and-white film. Since returning to the Dallas stage, the company has moved its productions into the Eisemann Center in Richardson, giving Pegasus a large venue in which to bring its truly different form of entertainment to the city.
